For any "bareboat" rental, without a captain, your boat must be covered by a "peer to peer" insurance.
If your current insurance policy does not cover peer to peer rental, you are not allowed to rent your boat.
You can subscribe to this insurance with your current insurer, by asking to add this option to your insurance contract, or with Click&Boat, which offers a daily boat insurance solution in partnership with Axa or Allianz.
What are the conditions to subscribe to a boat insurance with Click&Boat ?
Your boat must be less than 15 years old, of French origin and its insured value must be less than 300 000 euros. This insurance is only active on rental days.
How do I subscribe to it on Click&Boat ?
Access your Click&Boat account. From the "Listing" tab, go to the "Insurance" section of your listing and check the box "I would like to subscribe to the complimentary daily yacht insurance". The site will calculate the most advantageous offer for you according to the characteristics of your boat. The amount of the insurance will be deducted from your net income.
For any rental with a captain, i.e. co-navigation, you do not need additional insurance. You are the responsible skipper of the boat.
