Can I request a deposit from the tenant?

If you are a private owner: No!

As per our Terms and Conditions, Click&Boat offers a deposit management tool to facilitate financial flows between users.

When a tenant books a boat with a private owner, our platform pre-authorizes the bank card used for payment (a fingerprint), in order to be able to collect the deposit in the event of a claim. The owner agrees not to ask the tenant for a deposit.

If you are a professional owner: Yes!

As per our Terms and Conditions, the professional owner is entitled to ask the tenant for a security deposit in the form of a check or a pre-authorization (a fingerprint) on the bank card for the amount indicated by the boat owner.

Therefore, the deposit will not be taken by Click&Boat and it will be managed directly by the professional owner.
