In order to rent your boat to a private individual, you are legally required to be insured for the rental.
If your plan is to rent your boat on an occasional basis, and you do not wish to have this clause added to your insurance contract, Click&Boat offers you the possibility of offering an insurance solution for daily rentals between individuals, with Axa or Allianz.
What are the conditions for taking out insurance with Click&Boat?
Your boat must be less than 15 years old, be of French origin and its insured value must be less than 300,000 euros. This insurance is only activated on rental days.
How to add this insurance on Click&Boat?
Access your Click&Boat account. From the "Listings" tab, go to the "Insurance" section of your listing and tick the box "I would like to take out additional daily boating insurance". The site will calculate the best offer for you according to the characteristics of your boat. The insurance amount will be deducted from your net income amount.
For any rental with captain, therefore you providing or are the skipper, you do not need additional insurance. You are the skipper in charge of the boat.
