How is the deposit handled if something is damaged?

Click&Boat provides a tool for all private owners to manage the deposit by pre-authorising an amount on your credit card. The amount of the deposit is defined by the owner and appears on the listing under the section "Insurance".

Thus, when a tenant books your boat, our platform will register the credit card pre-authorisation used for payment.

You agree to not require any form of deposit from the tenant

Each damage must be declared to Click&Boat within a maximum of 24 hours following the rental via the application or the website only. Only the owner can declare a damage.

To complete the damage report file, it is mandatory to provide the rental contract and the damage report signed by the tenant and the owner as well as photos of the damage.

Once the documents have been received, Click&Boat will proceed with processing the return of the deposit.

Professional owners manage their own deposit (cheque or credit card pre-authorisation) and their damage report file.
