My boat broke down during the rental, what should I do?

Don't panic, every problem has it's solution! 

If you or your renter are in an emergency, we recommend that you contact the owner, other boats around on the VHF via channel 16

Any breakdown must be reported to Click&Boat within 24 hours of the rental:

  • Via our contact form from the Help Center
  • Via our Application in the "Profile" section > Contact Us > Chat box at the bottom right of your screen.

In the event that a major breakdown occurs during the rental period, making it impossible to use the boat, the renter may or may not decide to cancel the rental and request a refund according to the following conditions: 

  • Full refund - The full refund of the reservation will be made, including insurance and guarantees

If the breakdown occurs within a maximum of 2 hours after the check-in time for a 1 day booking or less.

If the breakdown occurs within a maximum of 24 hours after the check-in time for a booking of more than 1 day

  • Partial refund - Refunds will be made on a pro-rata basis for the hours not sailed 

If the breakdown occurs more than 2 hours after the check-in time for a 1 day booking or less.

If the breakdown occurs within 24 hours after the check-in time for a booking of more than 1 day.

We invite you to provide us with all possible evidence to prove the breakdown and help us to process your claim quickly (photos, videos, messages, rental contract etc.).

 

Click&Boat will not open a claim in the case of a breakdown due to wear and tear or hidden defects, and no other form of damages can be claimed.

 

In the case of a breakdown occurring with a professional owner, their reimbursement conditions apply.
